Specially for Darda!

27 May

It’s someone’s big big day today!

We’re like don’t know how many thousand kilometres away so I’m really sorry I can’t come over and celebrate with you, darda!

Anyways, here’s a post just for you!

I was just thinking, if there wasn’t 27th May in the calendar, which means if you didn’t exist, what would I be?

If there weren’t you, I won’t have someone to go sing-K with me and go out of tune, together.

#1. Red Box

Without you, we won’t have anyone nice anymore in the group cause all of us are plain evil

#2. The angel

Without you, no one would take silly pictures with me…

  Without you, C217 of year 2009/2010 won’t be complete…

#4.Roommates-to-be =)

Without you, our famous trademark pose won’t be complete either…

#6.Trademark again!!

Without you, the Elen we all adore so much, life will just be incomplete…

In short, 27th May is another very important date for me in the calendar cause it’s your birthday!!!
Happy 21st Lun Lun!!!
Stay pretty, stay hot, stay silly, stay clumsy…
Just continue being you, Elen!

#13.I LOVE YOU!!

PM camp so far…

26 May
Hello people! I’m back to update again!

The food we’re eating is just…let’s just say it is not that appetizing. Third college’s food is indeed better than other colleges in UM.

The rats issue. Hmm.. I don’t know to talk about it or not cause I’m afraid of reminding the rats that I am afraid of them and they will appear again.

Okay, they migrated I think to somewhere else (Thank God!!!). I sealed all the openings in my room though, just in case. =)

So, I realised I haven’t really showed you guys what we do in this camp. Facebook’s got most of the pictures but I’ll explain things better here.

The first few days of camp was a little troublesome but somewhat fun in a way.

We had to cook meals on our own cause our college’s kitchen is under renovation and the arrangements to menumpang makan at another college were still being arranged so yea, we bought raw materials then cooked ourselves. =)

#4. Preparing the needed items for our dinner

#1. Preparing the needed items for our dinner

Yup! Everyone helped out, even Malar. She barely knew how to hold a knife before this but now she cuts onion and garlics as good as the blender!

#2. Kalai, Malar and Darren helping out with the cooking...

Some helped with the preparations…
#3. Kak Simaa, Chai, Pak Koon & Kalai

#3. Kak Simaa, Chai, Pak Koon & Kalai

Some cooked rice…
#5. Zaim, Shukri & Laila

#4. Zaim, Shukri & Laila

Some (the ones who know how to cook) took charge of the cooking of course. =)

Except Khairun. Look closely and you can see she actually jumped back after pouring the things into the wok. Haha!

#6. Getting dinner ready

While some posed for me when I was going around with the camera…

#2. Khamisa and Khairun

#6. The two posers
#7. The two posers

Then, the third day onwards, we get to eat at 4th college, so no more cooking. *yay!*

Most of the time we concentrate on our own duties. Like for me, I usually work on my Edu Expo things like looking for suitable school’s contact, colleges’ contacts etc etc..

Rather routined, I would say but last Sunday, we had a special programme. Our KPM organized something called ‘Program Induksi College’ whereby they brief us on things the treasurer and secretary, the two very important people in a committee, do.

We were all dressed in formal attires with blazers and all, so we took pictures of course. But I’m too lazy to upload them all here now so you guys can see from my Facebook lah k. =)

#7. Incomplete group pic
#8. Incomplete group pic

We were all divided into groups to complete certain tasks.

#8. Group 1
#9. Group 1
#9. Group 2
#10. Group 2
#10. Group 3

#11. Group 3

So yup, that’s roughly what happened these few days.

I’m starting to get used to this PM camp thingy actually.. Like waking up at 5 something in the morning then go get some sweat out, eating using my hand, then play some sports in the evening then sleep, then everything repeats again.

Then again, SPM camp is going to start soon. Yup, we’re going to help out when they’re in the college, too! *yay!!*

And we’re going for our second car wash this Thursday. It was loads of fun during the first time!!!

So, we’ll probably be really busy and tired but I hope it’s going to be fun nevertheless.

Let’s just see what happens. Will keep you guys updated! =)

Don’t get what I mean? Follow the link below and watch the two videos.

Day 5 of PM camp.

I feel like writing in point form suddenly. Hehe.

1. I’m still alive! I sleep like maximum 5 hours only everyday but I’m still up and about, laughing and working! I know lah, 5 hours is quite enough but for someone like me who sleeps at least 10 hours everyday, it is quite torturing.

2. I am head of Edu Expo for PM camp. So far, I found the school to organize it already, SMK USJ 8. No black and white agreement yet but the teachers seemed keen in co-operating. =)

3. The bond among PMs are getting closer. Not all of course but I really like the ones I’m close to for now. Hehe.

4. There are ratS at my hostel who stay on the same floor as me!!! Damn scary!!!

5. …I thought I got a lot of things to update but looks like I’m wrong. Haha!

Got to go back to work now so I’ll stop here. Pray for me that the rats will go away soon, please!

Back In Uni

16 May

I am back at uni! Semester break only lasted for a week for me cause I’m back for PM camp.

It isn’t as bad as I thought but without the crazy bunch with me, like LooLoo, Elen, Mandy, Belle, Tong, Juin, Moon, Ang and the rest of them, third college is very different.

I’m a little quiet now compared to the usual self as the crazy spirit just don’t seem to be around anymore. Hmmm… So I guess after all I’m not that sampat. I was just hanging out with really sampat people so I became sampat too! Haha!

I’m really sleepy now actually so I hope we’ll get to sleep early tonight. Yumcha-ed with the BFFs last night at Starbucks and it was loads of fun! I really enjoyed the super comfortable sofas in Starbucks, the random topics we talked about and the camwhore sessions! =)

Audrey! If you’re reading this I demand you to upload all of Heng’s bertudung pics okie! If can upload the video also! XD

I will try to update throughout the camp. So do come back and drop by kays?

See you guys soon!!

X-Men, Buddies and…sigh?

15 May

X-Men Origins was awesome!! I seriously don’t know why so many complained about the show. It has such a nice plot, Hugh Jackman is SOOO hot, with his super nice, well built, make-every-normal-girl-go-goo-goo-gaa-gaa body, the effects are nice also and everything is just nice lahh!

One thing I cannot really accept is that they used Ryan Reynolds as the villain in the end and I keep picturing the fun daddy figure he played in ‘Definitely, Maybe’ so I was laughing when he came out.

And Will.I.Am. Haha! I keep imagining him singing, “I got it from my mama~~” when he was disappearing and all. XD

Those are seriously very minor problems and it was just me cause Audrey had no idea what was I talking about. And someone as picky as that girl enjoyed the movie too!

Anyways, so yes, I went out with them; Heng, Loi (YES! SHE JUST GOT BACK!!!), Ryui Bynn, and the fussy princess, Audrey.

It was fun and relaxing, as usual. And hokkien mee… Yum yum!!

Geez.. The thoughts of going back college tonight is making me all tensed already.

Despite the fact that it has been a year, I still find it hard to go back college after coming home for a long holiday. Not that university is not fun, it’s just that there are certain things at home that you’ll miss when you’re not around. *sigh* And my lepak kaki’s are all back somemore. *sigh sigh* And I haven’t eat enough pork somemore. *sigh sigh sigh* And the weather’s so hot, how to sleep without air con. *sigh sigh sigh sigh*

I better stop now before this post is filled with sigh’s. *sigh sigh sigh sigh sigh*

Bye Bye Second Semester…

11 May
Second semester of my first year in University of Malaya is finally done.
It is my first short semester and there were so many events going on this semester, so I think I sort of screwed up in my finals. Nothing can be done now, so no use crying over spilled milk.
Anyway, a few pictures of some really memorable events this semester.
#1. Opposite DTC

#1. Opposite DTC

It was first of January 2009 and nope, I didn’t celebrate at any happening countdowns.

I was in uni that time and went somewhere near my Dewan Tunku Chancelor, to watch the guards change the above board to year 2009.

Pretty lame, I know but it was loads of fun!

Let’s just say we are pretty simple people. Lame jokes and a few good comedians are enough to make us all happy. =)

#2. English Class
#2. English Class

I had this subject called English for Professional Writing Skills, or something like that this semester and my lecturer, Miss Steffi is nothing but fun!

I think it is because she’s younger compared to the other lecturers (she’s a Masters student) so she used different ways to approach us in class.

The picture above, most of us were in shades of red as it was Valentine’s Day Eve. She set red as the theme of the day.

Try guessing which one is Miss Steffi.

#3. Actual Month Committee Members

I was one of the committees for Actual Month.

I wasn’t really active but the director of this project, Kuppu is a really nice person.

She made everyone happy working together. We even got free t-shirts! =)

#4. Players and supporters

I was in the college basketball team and competed in SUKMUM.

We only won one round and that was because the opponent didn’t turn up but we had loads of fun!

For the first time, I scored in a game!

Three shots in a row!

But after that the opponent team sent their player to guard me and I couldn’t do much after that.

#5. Our trademark pose

Then it was MAK. I wrote a post about this earlier, so not gonna elaborate further.

#6. PTH's one of a kind poster. Credits to Ben Ong

#7. Female MTs

Then it was PTH. Yes, how can I not talk about PTH again.

So much memories from PTH, really wonderful ones they are.. *sigh*

Like the illegal poster Ben designed for us at the very last minutes. It was indeed different and I also agree that posters should be done like this.

No point setting strict formats for us to follow. In the end, posters that are produced all look the same. They don’t serve much purpose anymore.

And the trip to the temple with the MTs. =)

Goodness, I was so exhausted that day cause I didn’t sleep the night before. Was finishing the gimmick with Sue.

In the end, the gimmick only lasted for minutes then it went back stage again.

And I was the one who tore everything apart after the event.

#3. Part of Golden Dragon Fish Family

#8. Part of the 'Jin Long Yu' family

Yes, CC Night is definitely one of the highlights of sem 2.

I campaigned for my dear buddy Elensha and she won CC Queen in the end.

Not because of my campaign of course, she is a very nice and likeable girl in 3rd!

#9. Choir Group of 3rd College

Choir competition. Haha!

This is definitely memorable cause it is my first time singing again, in a choir competition since almost 10 years ago.

Yes, I was once in the school choir when I was in primary school. Can’t remember which one though.

So Clem, I do know how to sing one ok. You don’t remember only. Hehe!

So yeah, I’m done with second semester, my first year in uni.

How time flies.

I’m going to be a senior when uni starts again.

The ‘I-dunno-what-title-to put’ Post

9 May

I am back from the camp.

It wasn’t as bad as I had expected I would say.
Thought we’ll be going outdoors and the camp would involve some really physical trainings but it was done in the college itself, so nope, no tigers.

Nevertheless, a lot of critical thinking was involved and they were constantly playing mind games with us. Lack of sleep and tasks to be done with only one night given was a little stressful but my fellow groupmates were all still laughing, sharing jokes, so yeah, we had fun in between as well. =)

I got selected but the perkampungan only starts next Friday, so I’m home now. Will make full use of my break;gonna sleep, sleep and sleep then squeeze yumcha sessions in between.

Actually, I wrote this to say this out. I’m hesitating as this is quite personal and I don’t feel like disclosing any names yet. Everything is still uncertain so no point pouring all the details here. Many would say then, no point posting it up. I’m like hinting but not tellling. Like it or not, this is my blog and I have the rights to write anything here. I won’t just write something for the sake of inviting more readers to this dead blog of mine.

It is about a guy. Yes, I’ve been mentioning him just a little in my posts before this.

Anyway, I only told some of my really close friends this person’s identity not because those whom I didn’t tell are not my preferred friends, it is just that like I mentioned, no point telling something uncertain. I myself am not sure if I really like this guy. I don’t think I know him enough as we rarely talk. Anyhow, those few times we spoke make me feel really comfortable and nice. And I’m always looking forward to talk to him again.

Thing is, this kind of good feeling will usually just go off after some time but this time, though I was sort of stressed out and occupied when I was in the camp, I constantly think of him. Getting short messages or just news about him from another friend makes me smile. Yes, this is very mushy, I know.

Problem is, friends who know about this don’t think it is a good idea. Me and my good feeling I mean. They have their logic and reasons for this. I’m just not the type of girl that a guy would fall for once they know me. I’ve never been labelled as attractive or anything close to that. I’m not being humble or harsh on myself, these are facts. I don’t smile to strangers or friends I don’t really know and talking to them would take some time. I won’t even bother greeting people I don’t like while some would take the courtesy to be nice and smile, at least. I’m just…mean. Yes, mean is the right word.

And this guy is, from what most of us know, someone who takes looks pretty seriously. Shallow, I know but who doesn’t judge one from their looks? It’s just that some that are not so attractive turns out to be really nice people, so they become pretty to you after some time. I know this is getting confusing but wth, I hope you guys get it lah.

This is why I wrote this post. I feel…wrong. Like I insist on jumping into the water, just because I like doing that though my dear ones keep telling me how dangerous it is and I would hurt myself when I fall. I don’t know what to do.

To take the safe route and never know what might just happen.

Or to go against the norm and take chances.

I don’t know.

Will be back

6 May
This is a scheduled post.
Going to be away for PM (not Prime Minister, wtf) camp from 6th till 8th May.
Then on the 8th I will know if I am chosen. If I am chosen, I won’t be around till the next semester break. Hopefully I’ll get to sneak out every once in a while, so that I’ll get to see the BFFs. Hehe.

So, do wish me luck, don’t get lost in the forest, don’t drop into the mud, don’t get eaten by tigers (Haha, just kidding, no tigers lahh). And don’t miss me too much! Will update again as soon as I find the time. =)

Family Outing

4 May
Yesterday I went and visit my grand aunty and her family, who’s currently at Sentul East.

Also got to meet my dear lil’ cousin sister, Qii Qii (pronounced as Kay Kay). It’s been a while since I last saw this little darling. =) She is quite a distant relative when you draw the family hierarchy thing out but she is more like a sister to me cause her grand mother and mother stayed with my family for almost 15 years. Her grand mother was my nanny.

This little girl’s got attitude, I tell you! Haha. When I take my phone out and tell her to smile, she’ll give me that “What? Go away! Don’t disturb me” look. Either that or she’ll purposely jump and move around so that I won’t get to take her picture. -.- Testing my k550i capabilities. Ish.

#1. Blur
#2. Blur again -.-
#3. Slightly better cause her maid was tying her hair
#4. Quite a dark one but at least not that blur.
She damn cute right?? =)
Then Fei and I accompanied her to Gymboree.

#5. Giving me the beh song face

#7. “Kay, Kay, smile, smile…”

#8. Finally got it!

#9. Qii Qii with Kao Biew Yee going in Bangsar Village

#10. Bangsar Village

#11. Qii Qii at Gymboree

#12. Qii doing some art work

#13. Adults gotta wear socks into the place

Then we went Dim Sum for dinner nearby Kao Biew Yee’s new house.

Only took pictures towards the end of dinner cause I was starving, no time to take pictures of the food. =)

Unfortunately, the day ended with tears cause my aunt sort of scolded Qii Qii for playing with the food leftovers.

#15. Even when she’s crying she looks so adorable!!

Upon seeing this picture, she cried even louder. Haha!
