OSKIC Grand Launching

19 Aug

#1. PEKUMA at Bursa Malaysia

A group of 25 of us went in 6 cars to Bursa Malaysia just last Monday!

I was really excited the night before as I was one of the drivers and I have completely no sense of directions. And to only make things worst, I hate driving in KL.

Not forgetting that this was almost like the first outing we (PEKUMA) have together with seniors and juniors! So of course I’m excited!

I jumped out of bed at 6.45am sharp (and that’s impressive because I usually let my phone snooze for at least twice before I really get up) then got myself prepared and drove to the faculty.

The usual wait done, then off we went to Bursa!

Well, before literally going into Bursa of course we settled down at McD’s for breakfast first. πŸ˜€

#2. Gang at McD's

After that, we got ourselves registered for the ceremony, got our goodies bag and waited patiently for the event to start.

Then we had some refreshments and after that, group pictures!

*cough cough* *Pei Ling, you’ve got any picture with him anot?* *cough cough* πŸ˜€

Oh well, this post is titled OSKIC Grand Launching, which means the challenge has already started, which also means I would be busy investing (during trading hours only of course) which also means there might just be lack of updates. :p

But do wish me luck people, I want to get that Acer netbook!!! πŸ˜€

Of Cloudy with a Chance of Meteors

15 Aug

Last Friday morning, at around 4.30am I had one of those after failing to get Curry Wan Tan Mee and the breakfast set.

Did you guys know McD’s breakfast now only starts from 6am onwards? O.o

Moon was like interrogating the waitress, “Why did they change the time, how can McD’s breakfast NOT start at 4?!”

Oh yeah, I was up that morning to supposedly do some meteor gazing thing.

But caught no sight of any meteor though we sure had a good time catching up. πŸ™‚

#2. Malar

My dearest Malar. It’s been a while since we last had such a long heart-to-heart talk. πŸ™‚

#3. Roomies - Moon, Felicia

#4. Elen, Juin

Post’s title was definitely stolen from inspired by Juin. πŸ˜€

Sky got so cloudy that morning as soon as the clock struck 4. Sigh. I’ve already planned on what to wish if I get to see a meteor that morning.

Maybe I should just listen to Jo Ann – go YouTube and search for videos of meteor rain, then I can make wishes without having to stay up. Hehe!

Convo Celebration!

8 Aug

This is really cliche but again, I’ve got tutorials/assignments all piled yet I’m here!

Anyway, it was the Convocation celebration last night at where else but KFC.

I didn’t count but there were at least close to 50 of us there last night from 3rd College’s CCC. πŸ˜€

It’s really nice to see seniors and juniors all mingle together, having so much fun. Well, tad bit too much because we got warned by the manager there for making too much noise.

Graduates, fourth, third, and second year seniors alongside with juniors were all bonding despite the age gap.

It was really a lot of fun and I’m glad despite the dramas in college, we are all still one big family!

Okay, I shall proceed with more pictures.

#4. Jee Haw, How & Jun Hee (hope I got the spelling right!)

#5. Ben!

#6. Louise, myself and Celestine

#7. Cake for the seniors

We sang the CC song, wished the seniors luck then camwhore sessions started massively. πŸ™‚

#8. My CC Family!

#9. With Jin Hai & Alan

#10. Roomies!

#11. Jo, Elen & Louise

#12. Louise screaming into Adrian's ears. πŸ˜€

And last but not least,

Stole the last pic from FB. πŸ™‚

PEKUMA, The Upcoming Student Organization in UM

8 Aug

I have the Convocation Celebration to update on but something else is on my head and I really want to put it up first.

Well, PEKUMA (Persatuan Ekonomi Universiti Malaya) hasn’t been that active for the past two years – this is a well known fact.

A friend of mine saw something about it and immediately has visions on how to revive it.

So off the few of us go for the interview for the top posts, all showing our bit of support for my dear friend who is so keen in changing our reputation as Economics students.

Thankfully, (almost) all of us got the posts we wanted but to be honest, I’m just glad we’re all in this revolution thingy together.

All these just shows how united we are because we’re not simply just taking over a student organization, we’re kicking start from scratchΒ to activities never before mentioned what more done,Β in the Faculty of Economics and Administration.

We are taking one step at a time. I know we have limited time but we are doing what we can, trust me.

Unfortunately, at times like these, there are still people, outsiders who talk and think badly of us.

It’s saddening to hear remarks and comments like that.

I know it could be out of concern at times but perhaps it’s the way of saying it that makes it seem like you guys are jealous of us.

Afraid of usΒ topping you guys as one of the top student organizations in the university?

Haha, that would be seriously THE joke of the century because we should be working TOGETHER instead of worrying all these.

Perhaps we’ve been silent for so long but it doesn’t mean that the Faculty of Economics has got no talent.

Just watch and see, we could be even better than you guys. πŸ™‚

Oh well, for the least my President is a constant Dean’s lister. And has great knowledge on what’s going on outside instead of just being so-called rulers in the university.

Grow up, seriously.

For the record, we’ve had two sessions of interviews and the numbers were so encouraging, we’re having our third session!

Be part of the revolution if you haven’t come for the first two sessions! πŸ˜€

The effectiveness of an organization is not something you can pass on from the generations before us, it solely depends on who’s running it.

Give us just a bit more time and faith, we can do it (providing you guys show us some support too!) πŸ™‚

p.s: Don’t get me wrong. No intention to show off or something, just wanted to speak my mind out.

5 Aug

I am so efficient lately! *proud

All thanks to the stable (and fast, surprisingly!) line in college! πŸ˜€

So anyways, it’s the convocation week!

#1. Mortar-throwing

And yes, the tradition is we send our seniors off along with the juniors siap with banners and souvenirs.

So the session earlier just now was the graduates from the faculty of Science.

And 3rd college has got quite a number of Science graduates so there were quite a lot of us there just now! πŸ™‚

Too bad my camera was running out of battery so I saved it only for shots with some special seniors that made some ‘impact’ on me.

#2. Amos

Amos has always been a very supportive senior especially during my PM days.

I remember complaining to him all the petty things yet he was there guiding, advising with much patience.

His guidance and advice all meant a lot to me as I can somewhat relate to him in some situations.

Like being a banana (though he claims that I’m Genetically Modified) in the Chinese Club and the deputy to the CC Head at the same time.

Thank you Amos for listening to my never-ending rants at that time!

#3. Ban Hui

Ban Hui is one of the first seniors that I worked with during my stay here in 3rd College.

She was in charge of the Convo Project back then and I was selected to be in charge of the souvenirs.

We’ve been through (somewhat) difficult times together while working for the convocation two years ago and ever since then, we’ve been good friends! πŸ™‚

#4. Yee Siang

He’s one senior that I really admire and respect for staying with CCC all four years of his stay in 3rd.

He has always been the gentleman and is famous for that (even got awarded for few years!) but I began to only know him better while planning for CC Trip last year.

He was already in his final year, yet he was so willing to help us!

#5. Ben

Only shot I got of Ben because he was so wanted everywhere. And his camera more canggih so I kept my baby aside. Lol.

Anyways, Ben… Well, he’s been extra extra special.

He was really very helpful and was there to answer my never-ending questions.

And of course, if you knew Ben, you would know Ben’s answers are always different from the others.

He really inspired me in his own ways and at one point, I really wanted to be just like him.

But oh well, I obviously am not up to par. πŸ™‚

I’ve said this many times but thank you again, Ben.

Kit Meng, my dearest Mommy from the CC Family. Thank you for being such a wonderful parent and made me feel belonged.

Ben & Amos: Thanks again!

Wei Lun, another Father of mine from CC Family. You’ve been very helpful in your own ways and 3rd would certainly be different without you here now.

Jimmy, thank you for being such a good leader! Us juniors certainly think that your leadership has been amazing.

Convocations give me mixed feelings.

I’m happy the seniors are graduating, but I’m really upset as well because they are leaving college.

Of Friendships & The Hubby!

4 Aug

It’s the convocation week now in UM, which also means lecturers who are fresh postgraduates will be busy with their convocation, which also later means movie time for me and the coursemates. πŸ˜€

#1. Inception

We’ve all heard really good feedbacks about this movie, hence the urge to watch before they stop screening in the cinemas.

It was gooooooodd!!

Story line may be a little confusing but if you pay enough attention, I am sure you’ll enjoy the intensity and just the whole plot about the movie.

There were a bunch of youngsters in front of us who were making noise throughout the movie which was the only down side about watching this movie.

Other than that, it was really a good movie and I get to spend the whole day (again) with the other three! πŸ™‚

It’s really fun being with them because you know they are honest with their opinions and so you can be completely honest with them as well.

And there is no need to please any one of them cause they’re just simply easy-going like that.

Speaking of pleasing people, I used to always think it’s no harm being nice and make the first move approaching a friend, if that’s all it takes to keep a decent friendship.

But recently I was (again) proved wrong.

I will seriously never understand why I always meet such people.

When I am taking the initiative to make things better, to meet up, and catch up – well, it’s all part of keeping a friendship right? – but they just have to pour cold water on me with no mercy.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s all worth.

But everyone who knows me good enough would know I take friendships very seriously.

Yeah, sadly even more serious than the guy girl relationships. Lol.

But how do you keep up with such friends?

Friends who seem to be not bothered at all if you had made that call in the first place.

Who seem to be not bothered by how hurt you may feel from the words they used.

I would like to hear from you guys. πŸ™‚

On a completely random note, my hubby is out with his own movie on 12th of August!!! πŸ˜€

#2. Love in Disguise

How can I not watch this when first, LeeHom’s starring in it and second, it’s a love story!

Ah, it’s been a long time since I last felt this way. β™₯

Fun Time with My Baby!

2 Aug

#1. Pa's lotus

Yup! Had some fun time with my baby over the weekend! πŸ˜€

Went around the garden and snapped a bit.

#3. The sisterhood bracelet!

Then the souvenirs from Taiwan…

#4. Disney Keychain

And those from Hong Kong.

And some camwhore moments as well, of course! πŸ™‚

I like the picture above so much it’s now my FB’s profile pic! Hehe!

It’s a Monday and baaaahhh, the tutorials due these two days are all being a bitch.
