Keep It.

20 Nov

Some people say they can write whatever they want in their blog because it’s their blog.

Some say you have to be careful with what you write because you just won’t know who are your readers and some contents may just offend them unintentionally.

Well to me, whether it’s your blog, Facebook or Tweeter, you cannot just say something directly, especially when you’re emotional, anymore.

Because you will come to a phase in life where you are to be held responsible for whatever you say or write.

Even worst, those affected are your dearly beloveds.

So it’s just better to keep things to yourselves sometimes.

May cause you that bit of frustration but it’s definitely a lot better than regretting it later.

To My Baby Sister

16 Nov

Today’s my baby sister’s birthday!

So this is a little something I gathered from her favourite song and also pictures I’ve been dying to show to the world since I took them but was waiting for the perfect moment!

“Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they’re not shining
Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying
She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day

#1. How her hair falls into place without trying...

Yeah, I know, I know, when I compliment her she won’t believe me
And it’s so, it’s so, sad to think that she don’t see what I see
But every time she asks me do I look ok, I say

#2. No, she will never believe me.

When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change
Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are

#3. Just the way you are. 🙂

Her lips, her lips, I could kiss them all day if she let me
Her laugh, her laugh, she hates but I think it’s so sexy
She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day

#4. She laughs even when she's brushing her teeth!

Oh, you know, you know, you know, I’d never ask you to change
If perfect’s what you’re searching for then just stay the same
So, don’t even bother asking if you look ok
You know I’ll say

#5. 😀

When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change
Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are
The way you are, the way you are
Girl you’re amazing, just the way you are”

Happy birthday Fei!

*big sigh*

10 Nov

When you tell yourself, “That’s not the right thing to do. Turn around and do what you’re supposed to do.”

But your heart just won’t listen.

You turn around and spend the entire day doing what you’re SUPPOSED to do. But how beneficial was it really, when it was done unwillingly?

How am I ever going to finish the syllabus for my finals. 😦

Less is More

5 Nov

There’s a saying in Chinese that says something like you don’t teach people to hit their kids, and you also don’t encourage people to divorce.

Little did I know, this saying, proverb or whatever it is, is so true.

I know it’s difficult for people to refrain themselves from being kepoh and gossip about others especially when it comes to relationships.

Honestly, I do that (quite often) too but what I’m trying to say here is, save the comments or thoughts to yourself if that person with a troubled relationship is your good friend.

A friend who will take your advice or words into consideration because you’ll never know what impact those so-called wise words from you bring.

Come on, when it comes to a relationship, since when anyone thinks with their brains instead of their hearts. Even if there are people who actually act or think rationally they are plain losers when it comes to being romantic.

Because being romantic and hopelessly in love is about being irrational too!

You think Jack and Rose were that rational to think that they should jump if either one jumps first? Hell no!

Obviously, if you are a really really good friend, BFF material then it’s a whole different story. Because if you were so close to your buddy, you would know what is going on and that makes you eligible to talk.

But when you are just a friend, a little better than acquaintances but just not best friends yet, I would advise you to remain silent.

Because when your friend tells you an update (whether it’s a split or a hook up), he or she isn’t expecting to hear your thoughts. Instead, he/she just wants to update you as a courtesy.

I mean, who are you in the first place to even comment when you don’t know what exactly is going on in your friend’s life.

I’ll give an example.

Say, Guy A & Girl X been together since forever and everyone thought given the duration they’ve been together they SHOULD get married and settle down and voila, happy ending~

Unfortunately they split after their 8th year anniversary. And what would you say?

I am pretty sure the first thing that people in general would say, “Why? You’ve been together since high school when he had such a major acne problem yet you loved him unconditionally!”

Or, “You should have done that like twenty zillion years ago babe! He’s so totally not worth it.”

Do you think Girl X will just shake it off as if neither one of those comment didn’t hurt at all?

No one in this world will not be upset over a break up. Whether or not they show it right at your face, it’s an entirely different story. So don’t act as though you know what’s going on and behave like the best philosopher ever lived.

Instead, offer your buddy a hug. And say, “Whatever you do, I hope you’re happier now.”

See what difference that makes? You are standing on the fence yet your friend would feel better because you do sound like you’re offering your support.

Because in the end, you are not the one staying with your friend till the ends of the world.

Neither are you the one who will bring him/her as much joy as his/her partner.

So, show some support to your friend in a good way and also some respect for yourself.

No one’s going to say anything about you commenting too little.

Eat PLAY Love

4 Nov

I know, I know. I’ve been away for tad bit too long.

But hey, the laptop didn’t co-operate very much earlier with the space bar not working. So I was talking with fullstops instead of spaces for about two days.

Haha! Alright, time for the usual updates. 🙂

Just last Saturday, I went home to attend my little cousin’s 1st birthday party, held at a bistro kinda place called Utopia, somewhere near Damansara Perdana.

#1. Agar-agar layered birthday cake!

#2. Birthday boy! 🙂

The most adorable birthday boy I’ve ever seen who didn’t even cry or whine over the noise but instead slept throughout the party!

Only woke up when it was time for the cake-cutting ceremony! So super cute!

Oh well, what do kids remember actually from their first birthday. All I know was I got drunk because I drank some beer from my uncles’ cans of beer when nobody’s watching. Hehe.

So basically the whole party thing was for the grown ups to catch up and get together.

#3. With birthday boy's mommy and grandmother

And yes, if you guys remember the birthday boy’s grandmother (the one in green) is my nanny! Which explains why we’re so close to the kids. 🙂

Instead of mingling around with the aunts and uncles, I was having a lot of fun with this cutie pie.

#4. Qii Qii & I

For someone her age, she’s extremely intelligent and bright! ♥

Oh, the Halloween deco was in conjunction with the Halloween celebration that weekend.

So well, after the party, I got back to the university the next day. Since it’s already the study week, I ought to spend more time in the college where there’s less distractions.

Or so, I thought. Sigh.

Just last two days, we had our room mates outing to catch Eat Pray Love.

I think many would’ve thought of the movie as a bore but to me, it was really inspiring in so many ways and the script, dialogues in the movie was seriously funny in a motivational way!

My favourite part was of course, in the beginning when Julia Roberts went on her eating spree in Italy. *yummy!

There was one part where her friend didn’t want to eat the super yummy pizza because she was beginning to have a muffin top.

Then Julia said something like, “Has any guy turn you down when you undress in front of him?”

Then her friend said no.

So she answered, “Exactly. Because when a girl undresses in front of a guy, it’s already a bonus to him, regardless of her having a muffin top or not.”

Something like that and haha! I find it so true! 😀

#6. Louise, Moon & I

So after movie, we went over to Carrefour for some grocery shopping, to prepare for our steamboat dinner in conjunction with DB100’s room warming!

#7. Felicia, Louise and Moon

It was so much fun in the hypermarket, choosing what we want to have in our soup later and most importantly, constantly checking if we’ve gone off budget. Haha.

#8. Steamboat party!

We even invited Annabelle and Malar, the dear neighbour over to join us!

So after eating, the usual card games session started!

Along with some SS moments…

and of course, the ever random moments. This time, it was yoga!

#12. Elen & the Yoga teacher, Belle.

Haha! After the steamboat session, we were all so hyped up that we’re planning for another makan session at DB100 next semester!

But before that, we’re going to have to go through all the examinations and stuff.

Such is life of a student.
