Pre-Grad Trip At Malacca!

22 Apr

While everyone started their study week with their revisions and tutorials, the girls and I headed down South to Malacca for a simple pre-grad trip!

We earlier planned for something abroad but due to time and budget constraint, we decided to just do local.

After all, it’s the time spent together that matters right? 🙂

#1. Myself, Felicia and Belle!

We went by two cars with their respective owners; Elen and Louise. I personally enjoyed the best of both worldscars – started the journey with Louise’s then halfway at the R&R hopped over to Elen’s!

#2. Louise

#3. Elen

Managed to reach the Jiong Guesthouse after an hour or two of driving and laughing. Freshened up after sweaty journey under the scorching hot sun of both KL and Malacca then off we started our trip.

Of course, did I mention we had a local tour guide who brought us all to the good food in Malacca? 😀 Sean’s our junior in university and he kindly volunteered to bring us around!

The first place we went to was the Portugese Settlement for some seafood!

#4. Deep fried squid

#5. Humongous La-la

#6. Crabbieeee!!

I’m actually allergic to prawns and crabs since I was younger but I decided to screw it and indulge into the yummy baked crab!

Thankfully the allergy isn’t as serious anymore so I only had mild itchiness on the tongue and throat. 😀

Loitered around the jetty with the cool sea breeze for some ‘digestion’ before we headed to our next food stop – Capitol Satay!

#7. The usual queue

#8. Disappointed Moon.

There’s a story behind her disappointment!

The girl happily thought Satay Celup was the normal satay with meat and all so she was looking forward to those barbequed meaty satay. Well, of course Satay Celup’s not like that so that’s how she got disappointed! 😀

#9. Failed picture of the mess after our indulgence

Some of the girls didn’t enjoy Satay Celup that much but I loved it! Especially when you dip the sausages with cheese into the boiling hot nutty sauce – HEAVEN!

Being typical tourists, we went over to the park where the Eye on Malaysia Malacca and Pirate Ship were located.

#10. Louise

#11. Elen & Mandy

#12.

I’m no fan of Pirate Ships but because Moon said it is much lower than the ones we have in Sunway Lagoon and Genting, I thought why not.

Up I went and had the scariest, noisiest, funniest and most painful twenty minutes of my life in Malacca.

Mandy and I sure screamed a whole lot up there till we attracted some other tourists to pay for the ride after that but luckily we did scream or else we might just have a hard time like Hung Tong and Choon Roei who were close to vomiting. >.<

After that, we went for some more food – desserts! No pictures though because we were still very much excited about the Pirate Ship. 😀

The night ended with us sleeping soundly in the reasonably priced Guesthouse and so my post shall end here for now!

Ahaha didn’t expect it to be so lengthy and I’m getting a little impatient with the line so till the next post, take care you all! 🙂

More than Just Friends

20 Apr

Pictures speak louder than words, almost all the time. So for this post, I’m keeping minimal typing and ease your eyes with some beautiful pictures taken by myself, Louise and Belle from our Malacca trip. 🙂

Well, you know how some people tell you friends are overrated and that they just come and go?

But I tend to disagree.

#1.

Because they are the ones who had went through with you certain phases in your life…

#2.

More often than not, those phases you guys went through are pretty memorable ones…

#3.

Memories that bring genuine happiness from within…

#4.

I’m truly blessed to have met you girls, creating fond memories together.

You girls are not just friends to me, more like sisters in this second home we call university.

Thank you for all the special moments! ♥

When Old Friends Get Together…

10 Apr

People go through a few phases in their lives and at every phase, they meet new people and friends.

New friends may come but the old ones always stay, right? Well, not all of course but at least some will. 😉

I just met up with the girls again last night and this time, because some of the working ones are in great stress, we had to find somewhere that serves alcoholic drinks.

#1. Pink Lemonade & Red Sangria

Of course I didn’t go with anything alcoholic, not even cocktails mind you. Just somehow not in the mood for anything alcoholic.

Let me introduce you to my buddies!

#2. Tya!

I knew her since we were both fourteen if I’m not wrong. She’s always been a really good listener and she was always there to lend a helping hand. And because of her, I became a lot more fluent in my spoken BM, the Malay style okay! *beams with pride. 😀

#3. Vie!

Then there’s Ivie. She has always been the more matured one among the few of us and we used to call her Newton for the obvious reasons – her being the smartest among us. So yeah, one of the stressed ones because of work was my dear Ivie Newton. 🙂

#4. Yean!

And of course, my ever sampat friend Lee Sze Yean who filled us in with her many stories and never-ending drama! But she plays a really important role because she was the one who officially gathered all of us together (she was the one who fetched us!) and made sure there was no such thing such as awkward silence throughout the night!

Definitely a good catch up with the girls after so many years. The last time I met Tya was in 2008!

I’m really glad the few of us are still pretty much the same, so we were all still able to talk and laugh like the old times. 🙂

Of course, things would’ve been better if the other two woman can make it.

I’m definitely looking forward to the next gathering, hopefully with the complete bunch along with the guys!

Of Champions and Hop!

8 Apr

The title says it all. 🙂

The boy recently very bravely (and randomly) joined the UM’s Got Talent Competition recently held at the university.

And yes, you guessed it right. He and a few other friends emerged as the champion!

This is the video of him and the band’s winning performance. Enjoy!

I accompanied him all day but when he went up to the stage for his turn, I had to leave for a class which was later cancelled!

FML max seriously, I quickly rushed back to the competition venue but still didn’t make it in time. 😦

But I guess it’s all worth when I heard it myself when they announced the winners. Hehe! So totally made my day!

And the best part is he came along with the room mates and I to watch this…

#1. Hop!

It is such a good good movie!

So totally love the many colours of candies and of course, the adorable Phil!!!

So yes, it was a really a good day for me though I was completely worn out at the end of the day. 🙂

Star-Struck!

5 Apr

It’s not everyday you get to bump into (mini) celebrities. 🙂

Just yesterday, I was at the Astro Star Quest Preliminary Round to support my dear friend Jason.

What I didn’t expect is to see some of the Astro family members there. Hehe!

#1. With Fyone and Stephanie!

Well I know most of the people don’t really know them but my sisters and I are big fans! Especially after they released the soundtrack of Great Day – Cai Hong De Jia (Rainbow’s Home)

I was extremely excited to see them, seriously! Though I myself have friends who have joined the Star Quest and got pretty much similar fame, I think the two of them did extra well compared to all of the rest!

The soundtrack’s one thing to be proud of obviously because they definitely pulled the song off amazingly!

If they ever release any album of their own, I would definitely buy their ORIGINAL CDs! 😀

For those who don’t know them yet, here’s the song!

CC Nite 2011

5 Apr

Some say the best times in life is during your secondary school days because you know, that’s when everyone’s trying to be the cool ones – cheerleader, basketballer, footballer, etc etc. And somehow, just somehow I think pinafores are attractive in some ways too, that is if you wear them right. 😉

So CC Night’s theme this year is Secondary School where they actually encourage us to go in pinafores and dark green pants for the guys but seriously, I think not many of us can still fit into our uniforms. 😀

I for one, didn’t even bother trying to squeeze myself in so I went on with just a white shirt and (dark) blue skirt. And because many said I look more like a corporate lady, I borrowed Fei’s headband with a white ribbon. 🙂

#1. Joshua & I

So we have props for camwhore purposes every year and this year, the committee went all out with the theme and did this for us!

#2.

Pretty impressive for something that’s made purely out of cardboard and tapes ey?

So the usual things went on; OC’s performances, speech by some highly respected seniors (more like batch mates), makan session and of course, AWARDS PRESENTATION!

And guess what! Once again the CC Queen of my choice won the title! 😀

#3. Sean the CC King, myself and Khai Ling the CC Queen!

Of course, Sean’s the CC King I voted on that day itself too after his impressive performance that night. 😉

I had a wonderful time that night, though I was supposed to rush to complete an assignment due the next day. >.<

#4. Family photo!

Best part about events by CC like this is when you get to meet long lost friends whom you’ve probably not met for a long time…

#5. With my room mate in our first year, Siew Peng!

And getting together with new ones whom you’ve met from another event by CC…

#6. Wushu Team!

Basically, it’s just great fun to hang out with a bunch of people you know are genuinely kind to you, just like your family members. In fact, we are a big family of CC! 🙂

#7. All third years of CC who were present that night.

#8.

And of course, you get to camwhore and play around with your friend’s cool gadgets!

#9.

So of course, thumbs up to the awesome event flow and good job to the committee for the great grand finale of CC!

I will really miss all of these.
