Qii Turns Five

7 Jun

When I was able to so called think of a proper ambition, I actually thought of teaching. And the ambition somehow developed into a dream that I still hold onto today, that is to open a kindergarten. πŸ˜€

Random way to start this post but it’s somehow related la. Comes back to the point where I really like kids! πŸ™‚

It was my little cousin, Qii Qii’s birthday. This time her parents had a gathering at home which was definitely wise to me, because the little girl is more comfortable at her own crib AND there were many more kids!

#1. Two grown-up kids

Yes, these two monkeys with adult figures are still very much kiddies to me. And they’ll always be. πŸ™‚

#2. Everyone's feeling happy and kiddy-ish!

For some reasons all of us are always looking forward to go visit Qii’s family. Her grandma was my nanny for almost 15 years so yups, we’re kinda close. πŸ™‚

Shortly after we reached, the adults decided to let them have some play time at the mini pool. Good way to keep them busy since the weather was super hot!

I on the other hand, had heaps of fun watching them from the side. Simple things like the sprinkles from the water hose bring so much joy and laughters from all of them!

How to not love a cutie like him?!

#5. Weee!!!

After that, each one of them were brought in to bathe and dressed to their best for the Princess’s birthday!

#6. Young girls in big dresses

The sisters and I were saying how long their dresses are and how short it will get as they grow older. x)

The funny part is that they all wanted big dresses because they are all influenced by the Disney princesses, you know how big Cinderella, Belle and Snow White’s dresses are. Β Tsk tsk tsk.

#7. Birthday girl getting her hair done by grandma

Party started with food of course, and kiddy games throughout the night. Kiddy games in my dictionary = kids playing with random toys themselves with absolutely no rules.

As for us adults, we just sit and watch them in between the normal conversations with relatives. It is as boring as it sounds. =.=

Pictures (maybe not in sequence) ahead!

#8. The little boy we all love!

#9. Birthday girl with her presents

#10. Siblings with Nanny

#11. The Snow White-themed birthday cake!

#12. One of Snow White's dwarfs

They look adorable I know but they’re all made out of sugar so to prevent the kids all from getting sugar-rush, we quickly took them all away. Not quick enough to ‘save’ Snow White though. >.<

So the party ended at about 10 since the kids were all starting to cry and getting grumpy as bedtime drew closer.

Quite a good celebration as it was a good sight, looking at all the younger generations play while the older ones mingle happily talking about the old times. πŸ™‚

To My Baby Sister

16 Nov

Today’s my baby sister’s birthday!

So this is a little something I gathered from her favourite song and also pictures I’ve been dying to show to the world since I took them but was waiting for the perfect moment!

“Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they’re not shining
Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying
She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day

#1. How her hair falls into place without trying...

Yeah, I know, I know, when I compliment her she won’t believe me
And it’s so, it’s so, sad to think that she don’t see what I see
But every time she asks me do I look ok, I say

#2. No, she will never believe me.

When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change
Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are

#3. Just the way you are. πŸ™‚

Her lips, her lips, I could kiss them all day if she let me
Her laugh, her laugh, she hates but I think it’s so sexy
She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day

#4. She laughs even when she's brushing her teeth!

Oh, you know, you know, you know, I’d never ask you to change
If perfect’s what you’re searching for then just stay the same
So, don’t even bother asking if you look ok
You know I’ll say

#5. πŸ˜€

When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change
Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are
The way you are, the way you are
Girl you’re amazing, just the way you are”

Happy birthday Fei!β™₯

Eat PLAY Love

4 Nov

I know, I know. I’ve been away for tad bit too long.

But hey, the laptop didn’t co-operate very much earlier with the space bar not working. So I was talking with fullstops instead of spaces for about two days.

Haha! Alright, time for the usual updates. πŸ™‚

Just last Saturday, I went home to attend my little cousin’s 1st birthday party, held at a bistro kinda place called Utopia, somewhere near Damansara Perdana.

#1. Agar-agar layered birthday cake!

#2. Birthday boy! πŸ™‚

The most adorable birthday boy I’ve ever seen who didn’t even cry or whine over the noise but instead slept throughout the party!

Only woke up when it was time for the cake-cutting ceremony! So super cute!

Oh well, what do kids remember actually from their first birthday. All I know was I got drunk because I drank some beer from my uncles’ cans of beer when nobody’s watching. Hehe.

So basically the whole party thing was for the grown ups to catch up and get together.

#3. With birthday boy's mommy and grandmother

And yes, if you guys remember the birthday boy’s grandmother (the one in green) is my nanny! Which explains why we’re so close to the kids. πŸ™‚

Instead of mingling around with the aunts and uncles, I was having a lot of fun with this cutie pie.

#4. Qii Qii & I

For someone her age, she’s extremely intelligent and bright!Β β™₯

Oh, the Halloween deco was in conjunction with the Halloween celebration that weekend.

So well, after the party, I got back to the university the next day. Since it’s already the study week, I ought to spend more time in the college where there’s less distractions.

Or so, I thought. Sigh.

Just last two days, we had our room mates outing to catch Eat Pray Love.

I think many would’ve thought of the movie as a bore but to me, it was really inspiring in so many ways and the script, dialogues in the movie was seriously funny in a motivational way!

My favourite part was of course, in the beginning when Julia Roberts went on her eating spree in Italy. *yummy!

There was one part where her friend didn’t want to eat the super yummy pizza because she was beginning to have a muffin top.

Then Julia said something like, “Has any guy turn you down when you undress in front of him?”

Then her friend said no.

So she answered, “Exactly. Because when a girl undresses in front of a guy, it’s already a bonus to him, regardless of her having a muffin top or not.”

Something like that and haha! I find it so true! πŸ˜€

#6. Louise, Moon & I

So after movie, we went over to Carrefour for some grocery shopping, to prepare for our steamboat dinner in conjunction with DB100’s room warming!

#7. Felicia, Louise and Moon

It was so much fun in the hypermarket, choosing what we want to have in our soup later and most importantly, constantly checking if we’ve gone off budget. Haha.

#8. Steamboat party!

We even invited Annabelle and Malar, the dear neighbour over to join us!

So after eating, the usual card games session started!

Along with some SS moments…

and of course, the ever random moments. This time, it was yoga!

#12. Elen & the Yoga teacher, Belle.

Haha! After the steamboat session, we were all so hyped up that we’re planning for another makan session at DB100 next semester!

But before that, we’re going to have to go through all the examinations and stuff.

Such is life of a student.

Of Coursemates and Roomies

28 Aug

I’ve been spending most of the time in university with fellow coursemates lately.

Basically it’s because of PEKUMA and classes, work related stuff.

But if you ask me, why continue chatting with them through FB or spamming each other’s walls after class, I really have no idea.

Probably we all just miss each other too much. :p

#1. Birthday girl!

Just last Sunday, we arranged for a so-called surprise for our favourite maid. *inside joke*

Though someone completely spoiled it for us, it was a good laugh and the cake sure caught her by surprise.

So I wouldn’t say it was completely a failure!

#2. Guys will be guys. *tsk tsk*

Then we went to Picadilly’s where it was seriously a bad choice because the guys just completely ignored us after that. T__T

Nevertheless, the girls are good entertainers especially when we all sit together with nothing to do.

Gossiped the night away then we left and created some chaos in the middle ofΒ  the road.

Then just last night, we went for another random steamboat dinner session again.

It was a really good dinner to me, because everyone was enjoying themselves so much!

#4. Liew and his prawn.

#5. The lovebirds. πŸ™‚

I will have to admit, that night was extra happening all thanks to him…

#6. Vincent Lim Su Hang

He has one of the ‘most stinky’ mouth (not literally) and yaps the night away but I guess, when it comes to friends gathering as such, we need a character like Vincent to keep the moods hyper. πŸ˜€

It was really a good dinner. What more, I had a good chat with Jo Ann and Lik Sheng after that at my house.

Heart to heart talks after our tummies are full and nonsense laughters with the bunch is nothing but …I can’t find a word for it. Orgasmic? Lol!

Well, other than the fellow Economics undergraduates, my birth date night was well spent with the roomies. πŸ™‚

#7. My cutie Elen

Louise brought her DSLR out so we camwhored after our movie! πŸ™‚

#8. Louise

#9. Mannequins wannabe.

One of my favourite shots of Louise. β™₯

#11. Part of DB100, Mandy and Sher Lynn

Who said university life is a bore, again? πŸ˜€

More on the Birthday!

23 Aug

Not planning to write much in this post.

Going to fill it with pictures, pictures and MORE pictures! πŸ™‚

#1. Pa and Meeee

The man and woman who made it happened.

Who made me who I am, today. β™₯

#2. XinYi & XinFei

My bestest friends and partners in crime.

#3. Moon

The one who understands me best, in some issue that is. πŸ˜‰

#4. Leong

#5. TBG, Shit & PG

#6. YDP Liew

#7. Jo Ann, Madelyn

#8. The girls.

The special ‘gifts’ I got from the faculty.

#9. Belle

The soft spoken yet super good friend. β™₯

#10. Louise & Elen

The two long-time, loyal, truthful companions I have in this college.

Other random shots that I like…

Some of Mommy’s effort that night. πŸ™‚

#14. Choong's!

#16. With the yummy BR cake!

#17. Reading all the personalized messages.

Oh ya! It was a themed party! I made all the girls wear black and all the guys wear white, just so that my pictures will turn out better! πŸ˜€

#19. With the girls.

#20. With the guys

And lastly, just a small shout out to my dear girl, Kylie…

#21. Kylie and Fei

Thank you for constantly being there for my baby sister!

I really owe you and Allyssa one for being just simply true friends to her because I do know that she always has this tendency to meet the wrong group of people.

I’m glad she knew you guys much earlier and you two have been there with her during her ups and downs all these years.

It means a whole lot to me to know that my sister is in good hands. Thank you, Kylie and Ally! πŸ™‚

The Be-Earliered Celebration.

21 Aug

Last night I hadΒ a small gathering at home, with all the university friends.

It was really just a small thing with my mom cooking almost all the food served that night.

I really want to blog about it now but there were at least three DSLRs, four compact cameras that night and I’ve only got those from my baby now so maybe I’ll just wait.

But then again, I have got to write something here now before I forget any.

To the girls close to my heart, and close to me…well, literally!

My room mates.

#1. The girls from DB100

When I first got the dorm, I was both excited and nervous.

I’m always keen about having a bigger room with more room mates but really, more girls usually also means more drama.

I’m glad I got you five amazing girls who are just so tolerant, simple and gorgeously fun in your own ways.

We’re all different in so many ways, but I’m glad we all have one thing in common.

That is we treasure all those fun moments in between the simple lifestyle we go through everyday.

Yelling at one another because we like to think we’re all in a VERY big room, ‘touch-and-go-ing’, heart-to-heart talks, food sharing, going to bathe at the same time, still talking while bathing in separate rooms, and the list just goes on.

I try to think what would it be like if I had different room mates and I think of a room with six strangers, each minding their own business not knowing what are the others busy-ing about.

Thank you girls, for bringing so much joy to me everytime I come back from a hectic day of class. β™₯

#2. The coursemates (and my mom)

To the crazily fun and down-to-earth people from the Faculty of Economics and Administration…

Thank you thank you thank you for being such awesome friends just in time before I graduate and tell people I have no friends from the same course. πŸ˜€

You guys really brought colours to my class-filled-times and I really enjoy beingΒ one of the Economics students now all thanks to you guys.

And thank you for proving me wrong when I thought the faculty was populated by all kiasu people. πŸ™‚

I really appreciate all the little things you guys had done, really.

Like fetching me in and out when I am really an outlier, watching LeeHom with me though you guys weren’t really big fans, tolerating my tantrums, putting up with my nonsense, laughing with me though it’s sure embarrassing and just making sure all of us are out of trouble when either one of us skips class.

I really really treasure you guys. Thank you! β™₯

To my other two…I can’t find the word for it…girls…?

#4. Mandy & Belle

To you two,

It’s not always that you get to find friends whom you still find comfort talking to despite not meeting for ages.

I am really grateful to have been blessed to meet you two.

You two are one of the few people I always want to talk to when I am feeling the lowest.

Just somehow, getting that big warm hug and being by your sides never fail to make things better.

And of course, lastly…

#5. Choong's power!

I’ve never been really clingy to my parents or family but that doesn’t mean I care for them any less.

Being part of this family is one of the biggest gift from whomever who arranged my life.

So to whomever who arranged it, You are really awesome for blessing me with a sarcastic but loving father, naggy but caring mother, andΒ sometimes annoying but really thoughtful siblings.

It’s not true that you get less attention or less love when you’re in a big family because you have more people to care and love you. πŸ˜‰

My birthday this year,Β though it’s not here yet but it’s really close to perfect already.

Of course, it would’ve been better with the BFFs and some special friends too but oh well, I have four more days till the exact date so I’m waiting! πŸ˜€

Of Reasons to be Happy!

28 Jul

It’s the end of Wednesday!!! πŸ˜€

Which is good news obviously because Wednesday is the day where my classes are all packed up from 9 in the morning till 5 in the evening.

But I am drained out now as well so will skip dinner and get some rest after this.

Well, I started the week off with a pretty good way!

I was lost (literally, despite being in my final year already) on Monday while going to my Time Series tutorial but I made it there in the end.

Late but at least I made it, right? πŸ™‚

Then at night went to Mid Valley with the girls to meet up with another friend.

Had pretty fun chats over dinner and then movie! πŸ™‚

Somehow I have this thing for cinemas. I am not picky with movies, just bring me into the cinema and I’ll be a happy girl! Haha!

#1. Streetdance

Wanted to get Inception but tickets were all sold for the screening time that we wanted so opted for this.

It was pretty good, nothing fantastic but I really like the British accent! πŸ™‚

Then just yesterday, had lunch with the girls; Belle, Mandy, Elen and Louise.

I had the urge to watch movie again suddenly over lunch so off we went to Tropicana City Mall and watched this…

#2. Sorcerer's Apprentice!

Any magical, fantasy-ish, completely-doesn’t-make-sense kind of movie is good movie to me!!!

I really like every part of this movie, including the fact that the lead actor (no, not Nicholas Cage, the apprentice fella) got a really funny voice. πŸ˜€

#3. πŸ™‚

This is one of those pictures that don’t turn out to be that clear but I still like it very much. β™₯

Can’t wait to take more nice nice pictures with them! πŸ™‚

Oh! And you know what…

#4. Ixus 120!

I finally got a replacement for Xin Yi after the Ixus 80 tragedy!

Can’t wait to try it when I get home this weekend! πŸ™‚
